What is the Oakland County Boat Club?

Since 1912 The Oakland County Boat Club has stood proud and tall along the waters of Sylvan Lake, providing its members a community of common interests & shared values. We are more than a facility or affiliation. We are a unique community with an atmosphere of friendship and mutual respect. The Club House Circa. 1935
The Oakland County Boat Club is a private, not-for-profit, social club and marina located in Sylvan Lake, a small community just south of Pontiac, Michigan.

Membership Process

MEMBERSHIP IS CURRENTLY CLOSED, NO WAIT LIST APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME.

Membership in the Oakland County Boat Club is exclusive and begins with the completion of an application requiring the endorsement of three members, a proposer and two sponsors. Applications are posted in the clubhouse for a minimum of fifteen days during which time the prospective member is interviewed by the Membership Committee.

Then at the next regularly scheduled general meeting a vote via secret ballot will take place.
